Garlic Apple Cider Vinegar with Honey Syrup

This is great for sore throats and allergies and colds and the Flu
it may sound weird but Garlic and Honey actually taste amazing together and its easy to make  ready?
How To Make Garlic Apple Cider Vinegar with Honey Syrup

20 cloves of garlic    yes 20 cloves of garlic that is not a typo
1 cup  of water
1 cup  of Apple Cider vinegar
3/4 cups), of honey  Raw organic is best
Glass or Plastic jar   Do not use metal
Cheese cloth

~Go Organic if Possible~

Break apart the garlic cloves. Remove loose peels, but don't sweat the ones that cling.

add a few slices into each Clove of garlic or chop in half  each clove

put garlic into a Clean and Sanitized Jar now pour the honey, add Equal amounts of water and vinegar. Enough to cover the garlic. Use a glass container preferably, or plastic if you have to, but Never metal to soak the garlic.

soak it like a tincture and let it sit for two weeks. I have also left it in this state for over a year and it has not spoiled. I call this stage ‘Garlic broth’. (un-strained.)

The pulp is strained through layers of cheesecloth or linen or cotton and a sieve. The resulting product is the strained broth.

Stir, drink to good health!
Internally:
1 tablespoon 3-4 x a day adults.
1 teaspoon, 3-4 x a day for children.
do not give to children under age 2

Externally:
Apply to lint, cotton, gauze, and place on wound.

you can also use it in food recipes for marinades

It is not inexpensive, however, I feel it is more valuable than gold.
(And it is really, really, sticky to make, even before the honey is added.)
The garlic oil attaches to everything!
And the entire house will reek on the day you grind the garlic.
Or open the bucket later….  Vadora kills me every time I makes it but we never get sick ever
Gotta Love It!

you can also add , Ginger, Cayenne Powder , sliced lemons, Cinnamon, Sage and Rosemary to the mix too if you wish

Mole Repellents

Moles or Voles can Destroy your Garden but   most methods are poison baits so here are ways to Repel the mole without hurting it  or kill them all you are doing is Repelling them  hopefully the mole will move to to that Jerk neighbors yard you know the one I am talking about

Buy Some Mint or Eucalyptus Essential Oil
mixed with Olive oil or Castor oil

Either peppermint or spearmint will do as well as eucalyptus oil which is a strong smell that moles do not like. While you are out getting the oil, pick up a bag of cotton balls also, if you don't have any at home.

~~Find the Mole Entrance~~

Take some cotton and a bottle of oil with you as you find out where the entrance to their tunnel is by following the trails of softened dirt. A single mole can travel at the speed of 15 feet an hour so there may be many tunnels that lead to an entrance. The entrance is usually near the center of the mound and slightly covered but you can put a stick in it and dig out some of the dirt. Other times the entrance is quite visible as just a hole in the ground.

~~Put Oil on the Cotton~~

Pour enough drops of oil on the cotton to get it fairly moist so the smell will permeate the entrance and down into the mole tunnel.

~~Push the Cotton Down as Far as You Can~~

Shove the saturated cotton down into the tunnel as far as you can with a stick. Do this to all entrances that you find and then you can even push small pieces of the moistened cotton through the dirt into the trails at various spots to keep the smell repelling the mole as it travels underground.

~~Cover the Hole Back Up with Dirt~~

Take a stick and push some dirt over the entrance after pushing the cotton down into it. Repeat every few days to give the mole a strong repelling smell and a hint to move along to different territory.

What you can Grow to Repel them

Several bulb plants are said to repel moles. One is the well-known daffodil. Two of the others are also classic spring bloomers, although not quite as widely known as the daffodil: Siberian squill (Scilla siberica) and crown imperial (Fritillaria imperialis).

Squill bears pendulous bell-like flowers in shades of lavender, blue, white or pink. Over the years squill will multiply and fill in an area. Squill naturalizes in zones 4-8.

Yellow crown imperials such as Fritillaria imperialis 'Lutea' bear six to eight pendulous yellow flowers. The scent of its bulbs is said to resemble that of a fox, which certainly would not be a pleasant smell for moles. These plants reach about 3 feet in height. Zones 5-7.

The Allium genus of bulbs comprises not only garlic, onions, leeks, chives and shallots, but also ornamental flowering onions, such as Allium schubertii. The latter are sometimes simply referred to as "Alliums." This unusual flowering plant ranges in size from about 6"-5' in height. While garlic is also reputed to be a mole repellent, Allium is a better choice if you are seeking a living mole repellent strong not only in scent, but also in aesthetic qualities.

Allium giganteum is one of the taller ornamental Alliums, reaching 3'-5'. Flowers are purple and form round clusters with a width of 4"-6". As its leaves die back in early summer, you’ll want this plant to be screened from view. To accomplish this, simply plant Alliums behind other plants that will obscure them as Allium’s foliage dies. Bulbs can be planted in fall or spring, 6" deep. Cold hardy to zone 4.

The Mexican marigold (Tagetes minuta) is a malodorous plant widely used in companion planting for its ability to repel pests. Companion planting is an example of an organic control method. And adventurous landscapers desirous of controlling moles the organic way don't have to settle for planting the commonplace marigold. A couple of "living mole repellents" have a decidedly exotic flair: namely, mole plant and castor bean.

That's right: one of these plants has gained such notoriety as a living mole repellent that it is often referred to simply as "mole plant." Also called "caper spurge" (Euphorbia lathyris), this plant is an annual but re-seeds itself readily. Mole plant has a striking architecture and is often grown as an ornamental, standing erect and bearing lance-shaped leaves. Its leaves are marked with an exquisite white vein running right down the middle. If you make a cut into a mole plant's stem, a milky sap will ooze out, as when you break the stalk of a milkweed plant. It is apparently the smell of this poisonous, caustic sap that repels the moles.

This one  I am leaving at the bottom with a Warning

The final living mole-repellant I'd like to describe is castor bean, also known as castor-oil plant (Ricinus communis). This one's a bit of a no-brainer, since, as I have already mentioned, commercial mole repellent formulas are based on castor oil. Used in the old days as a laxative, there are still many folks out there who can attest to the repellent qualities of castor oil. And it would seem that moles do not like it any better than humans do! A word of caution: castor bean, like mole plant, is poisonous -- neither should be grown around small children.

In temperate climates castor bean is treated as an annual. It grows quickly and can reach 15' in height, suggesting another use for this plant as well: namely, as a privacy screen for those who don't have time to wait years for a shrub to reach such a height. Castor bean bears huge, star-shaped leaves that make it a very attractive specimen, and thus desirable even on landscapes not plagued by moles.

Saw palmetto is used for treating certain types of prostate infections. It is also sometimes used, in combination with other herbs, to treat prostate cancer.

Some people use saw palmetto for colds and coughs, sore throat, asthma, chronic bronchitis, chronic pelvic pain syndrome, and migraine headache. It is also used to increase urine flow (as a diuretic), to promote relaxation (as a sedative), and to enhance sexual drive (as an aphrodisiac).

Saw palmetto might help reduce the manifestations of noncancerous enlarged prostate glands. This would certainly be good news for those men experiencing symptoms such as the need to urinate frequently during the night and wonderful for prostate gland health  Eat Healthy and exercise and less prostate exams later on

2.Horny Goat Weed

Scientific name Epimedium, also known as barrenwort, bishop's hat, fairy wings, horny goat weed, rowdy lamb herb, randy beef grass or yin yang huo

Behind the funny name of horny goat weed stands a time-tested aphrodisiac that increases libido in men and women, and improves erectile function in men. Known also as Epimedium or Yin Yang Huo, horny goat weed was first described in ancient classical Chinese medicinal texts. Today, horny goat weed holds an important place in Traditional Chinese Medicine and is gaining popularity around the world.

Used by practitioners for over 2,000 years, horny goat weed is several species of epimedium, a leafy plant which grows in the wild, most abundantly at higher altitudes. The leaves of the plant contain a variety of flavonoids, polysaccharides, sterols and an alkaloid called magnoflorine. And while the exact way that horny goat weed works remains unknown, the plant has long been employed to restore sexual fire, boost erectile function, allay fatigue and alleviate menopausal discomfort.

3.Ginkgo biloba

Ginkgo is an   herb used as far back as 2600 B.C. for bronchitis and asthma.
s the herb may be effective in treating, such as:
Memory disorders like Alzheimer's or other age-related memory concerns
Thinking disorders connected to depression and Lyme disease

4.Green Tea

The health benefits of green tea are (almost) endless. Cultivated for hundreds of years, green tea is loaded with antioxidants; saccharides (sugar); chlorophyll and some vitamins like, A, B1, B2, B3, C and E. Naturally, millions of people drink green tea for the health of it – but what does it really do for us?

Once you grow all those muscles, herbs can help prevent aches, pains, and strains. Green tea, in particular, provides a hefty dose of flavonoid antioxidants that short-circuit the production of inflammatory hormones in damaged muscle. The advantage of Green tea over other sources of flavonoids (spinach, for example) is that it does not have to be consumed with fat to provide readily available flavonoids to the body

1. A great way to prevent cancer
Research shows that green tea helps inhibit the growth of cancer cells and prevent cancers such as, pancreatic, prostate, breast, esophageal, colorectal, stomach and lung cancer. A current analysis of 22 studies proved that drinking (2) cups of green tea per day can reduce the risk of lung cancer by 18 percent.
Studies associated with China showed that the more green tea was consumed, the lower the risk for cancer.

2. Protect yourself from cellular damage
The antioxidants in green tea guard your cells from free radical damage. The daily stress of living can (potentially) bombard the cells with too many free radicals which can damage our DNA – causing an increased risk for cancer, atherosclerosis and blood clots.
Unlike black tea, green tea leaves are not fermented and are given minimal processing time. That’s why green tea has more nutrition than other types of teas or coffee.

3. Promote healthy teeth and gums
Green tea contains catechins and polyphenols that help us kill (unwanted) bacteria and thus prevent bad breath and tooth decay. Most people lose their teeth because of poor gum health. Drinking green tea; a diet rich in all the essential trace minerals and, even oil pulling with coconut oil are great ways to have a clean mouth.

4. Green tea will help strengthen your bones
Regular consumption of green tea can dramatically reduce your risk for osteoporosis and arthritis. There has been lots of scientific research, in recent years, to indicate that a combination of green tea and healthy vitamin D levels can reduce inflammation and oxidative stress within the body. All of this will greatly reduce your risk for bone damage.

5. A simple way to improve your heart function
The antioxidants contained in green tea act as chemical dilators – which enhance the flexibility of the blood vessels, thus making them less prone to getting clogged. Green tea shares similar properties with pomegranates and blueberries – when it comes to helping the heart do a better job.
Again, many studies suggest that around 3-4 cups of green tea daily can immediately provide a heart healthy benefit by dilating the blood vessels and offering free radical protection.

6. Green tea will help balance your blood sugar levels
Having a cup of green tea after your meal can greatly improve your ability to enjoy stable blood sugar levels. Many studies have found that EGCG (also known as epigallocatechin gallete) – one of the polyphenols in green tea – influences the way glucose is absorbed. Researchers have suggested that EGCG may reduce the amount of glucose that passes through the intestine and into the bloodstream.

7. Green tea is good for the brain
Studies have shown that a daily consumption of green tea will reduce your risk for developing age-related cognitive disorders such as, Alzheimer’s disease and Parkinson’s disease.
If you want to prevent brain dysfunction like, memory loss – take lots of antioxidants; reduce the stress in your life and eat plenty of healthy fats – on a regular basis. The key is to reduce the inflammation within the body.

8. A delicious way to improve skin tone
The antibacterial and antioxidant activities of green tea help to prevent wrinkles and sun damage. After all, let’s not forget, the rays of the sun can produce free radical damage under our skin. But, interestingly enough, a 2000 study by Case Western Reserve University – showed that green tea protects against sunburn.
Volunteers had green tea extract applied to the skin on their buttocks, which was then exposed to solar radiation. At a concentration level of 4 milligrams per 2.5 cm square of skin area, the subjects obtained complete protection from sunburn.

9. Eliminate excess body fat – drink green tea
Many studies suggest that the catechins, in green tea, may trigger weight loss by stimulating the body to burn calories and decreasing body fat. Obviously, green tea is not the only way to lose (unwanted) body fat – but ought to be considered part of a sensible diet.

Don’t forget to always buy organic and enjoy!

5.Yohimbe

Yohimbe, perhaps the best known of the aphrodisiac herbs for men, acts on a principle very similar to Viagra, Cialis, or Levitra, but doesn't have the side effects of stuffy nose, sniffles, or seeing blue! Even men who do not suffer erectile dysfunction note an enhanced experience after taking Yohimbe. Results are noted within 4 hours of taking the herb

6.Oregano

Common oregano is botanically known as Origanum vulgare, Greek for "joy of the mountains." It can be found growing wild on mountain sides of Greece and other Mediterranean countries where it is an herb of choice. Also known as wild marjoram, the oregano plant is a perennial which grows up to two feet tall and bears tiny leaves which lend a pungent aroma and strong flavor to a variety of savory foods.

When in bloom, the plant sports pink or purple flowers, which are also edible. The leaves are used fresh from the plant or dried. Oregano is one of the few herbs that is stronger when dried than when fresh. Commercially, oregano's biggest market is in perfumes.

And when you are cooking, don't leave out the Oregano. Oregano has 3 to 20 times higher antioxidant activity than any other culinary herb. Gram per gram, Oregano has 42 times more antioxidant activity than apples, 30 times more than potatoes, 12 times more than oranges and four times more than blueberries.

Oregano shown to effectively destroy prostate cancer cells as well as breast cancer cells in  many studies
and yes men do get breast cancer too  so guys check yourselves  just like women do

Oregano is used for respiratory tract disorders such as coughs, asthma, croup, and bronchitis. It is also used for gastrointestinal (GI) disorders such as heartburn and bloating. Other uses include treating menstrual cramps, rheumatoid arthritis, urinary tract disorders including urinary tract infections (UTIs), headaches, and heart conditions.

The oil of oregano is taken by mouth for intestinal parasites, allergies, sinus pain, arthritis, cold and flu, swine flu, earaches, and fatigue. It is applied to the skin for skin conditions including acne, athlete's foot, oily skin, dandruff, canker sores, warts, ringworm, rosacea, and psoriasis; as well as for insect and spider bites, gum disease, toothaches, muscle pain, and varicose veins. Oregano oil is also used topically as an insect repellent.

Cayenne pepper also helps reduce atherosclerosis, encourages fibrinolytic activity and prevents factors that lead to the formation of blood clots, all of which can help reduce the chances of a heart attack or stroke.

10. Detox Support

Cayenne is a known circulatory stimulant. It also increases the pulse of our lymphatic and digestive rhythms. By heating the body, the natural process of detoxification is streamlined. Cayenne also causes us to sweat, another important process of detoxification. Combined with lemon juice and honey, cayenne tea is an excellent morning beverage for total body detox.

11. Joint-Pain Reliever

Extremely high in a substance called capsaicin, cayenne pepper acts to cause temporary pain on the skin, which sends chemical messengers from the skin into the joint, offering relief for joint pain.

12. Anti-Bacterial Properties

Cayenne is an excellent preservative and has been used traditionally to prevent food contamination from bacteria.

13. Possible Anti-Cancer Agent

Studies done at the Loma Linda University in California found that cayenne pepper may help prevent lung cancer in smokers [2]. This may be again related to cayenne’s high quantity of capsaicin, a substance that might help stop the formation of tobacco-induced lung tumors. Other studies have also shown a similar reaction in cayenne’s ability to inhibit liver tumors.

14. Supports Weight Loss

Scientists at the Laval University in Quebec found that participants who took cayenne pepper for breakfast were found to have less appetite, leading to less caloric intake throughout the day. Cayenne is also a great metabolic-booster, aiding the body in burning excess amounts of fats.

Cayenne helps to keep blood pressure levels normalized. It also rids the body of LDL cholesterol and triglycerides.

Capsicum (cayenne pepper) is said to be unequal for its ability to boost circulation and increase heart action. Capsicum exerts a variety of desirable actions on the entire cardiovascular system. It has the extraordinary ability to enhance cardiovascular performance while actually lowering blood pressure. Capsicum has an energizing effect on the entire system. It has traditionally been used for overcoming fatigue and restoring stamina and vigor. It is a natural stimulant without the threatening side effects (palpitations, hyper-activity or rise in blood pressure) of most other stimulating agents.

Because Capsicum boots peripheral circulation and stimulates organ secretion, it expedites the therapeutic delivery and action of nutrients in the body. It will ensure the rapid and even distribution of the active principles of available nutrients to critical function centers, including those involved in cellular respiration, metabolic data transmission and neural-hormonal action. The remarkable ability of Capsicum to stimulate organ secretion and even heart action makes it one of the strongest natural stimulants known. Clearly, Capsicum should be considered nothing less than a wonder herb that has scientifically proven its worth!

If you want to carry something in your first aid kit for a heart attack, carry a cayenne tincture. Even a bottle of Tabasco Sauce might be good enough.

11. Turmeric   yes only my top ten list has 11 herbs lol

What is Turmeric?

Turmeric is a super-spice that has a high antioxidant value and boosts the immune system. It is a powerful anti-inflamatory and is popular among those with arthritis and joint problems for this reason. Turmeric is antiseptic and kills yeast and parasites when used internally.

It is a member of the ginger family and it is what gives many Indian Foods their yellow color. It is used in curries and in mustard. There is some evidence that it supports brain health and can help avoid Alzheimer’s Disease.

Turmeric is a popular spice for cooking, but it has a long history of medicinal uses, too. It is one of the most researched natural remedies available and there are numerous studies validating its healing properties. Turmeric provides a wide variety of benefits, but there are seven standouts. Once you know about these seven benefits you’ll be eager to add the spice to your diet.

Antioxidant

The active ingredient in turmeric is curcumin, which is known as a powerful antioxidant. This means it targets dangerous free radicals in the body and reduces the damage they are able to cause DNA and cells. When cells are healthy the body is healthy, which means turmeric offers general wellness benefits, as well as targeting specific health problems.

Anti-Inflammatory

Curcumin also has anti-inflammatory qualities. This makes it effective for fighting heart disease, osteoarthritis pain, and other health problems related to inflammation (researchers believe there are many links between inflammation and chronic illness). Curcumin is believed to reduce certain enzymes in the body known to trigger inflammation.

Heart Health

Turmeric reduces the risk of blood clots and prevents the build up of plaque in the arteries, which helps in the battle against stroke and other clot-related problems. There are also studies showing turmeric is beneficial for reducing bad cholesterol and improving good cholesterol, both of which play a role in a person’s heart health.

Slows the Progression of Alzheimer’s

Researchers studying the effects of curcumin in relation to Alzheimer’s cite the health of those living in regions that consume turmeric in high quantities. People in India aged 70 and older have a much lower rate of Alzheimer’s disease than those in the same age group in the United States. Many believe this difference is due to the high intake of Indian curries, which are made with turmeric. Further research points to turmeric’s ability to remove amyloyd plaque buildup in the brain, which is believed to put people at risk for developing the Alzheimer’s.

Natural Painkiller

An article in the July 2009 issue of Time magazine points to a study conducted at the University of Arizona. Researchers found rodents injected with a material known to cause joint pain suffered less when the injections were paired with curcumin. The article also cites anecdotal evidence singing the praises of turmeric for fighting a variety of pain that would otherwise be treated with over-the-counter pain medication.

Skin Health

Turmeric’s anti-inflammatory benefits can be beneficial when applied topically, too. It is considered an effective treatment for psoriasis and other skin disorders, and it is a natural antiseptic and can be used to treat burns and cuts.

Cancer Fighter

The jury is still out on just how effective turmeric is for fighting cancer. Some health experts point to its anti-inflammatory benefits and draw conclusions based on the link between inflammation and the development of cancer. Free radicals and cell damage are believed to be linked to cancer, too, so if turmeric is able to work as an antioxidant it has a secondary anti-cancer effect.
